Hey everybody!I’m calling on artists who may be interested in participating in a Howard Phillips Lovecraft tribute zine (name pending…)! The zine is going to be very open ended, meaning you can do anything you want, a portrait, a comic, an illustration, as long as it’s related to H.P. Lovecraft or one of his many creations. Totally imaginary bonus points for focusing on some of his more obscure creatures or characters! Do whatever Lovecraft means to YOU!
This is all very early stages, but i’d like to look into getting a table at the Toronto Comics and Arts Festival next summer, and registration is in September. I’d like to sell this zine at the event! I’m going to do the cover, and i’d like it to be in colour, but the inside will be black and white with grey tones. I’m looking for art scaled to either 5.5 X 8.5, or double-page spread work that would be 8.5 X 11. At least one piece, but if you’re passionate about the zine, feel free to submit more than one! I’d love to get a huge range of artists involved in this! There’s already been some amazing support from some hugely talented people.Let me know if you’re interested, and i’ll keep you up to date. I’d like the deadline for the work to be August 1st, to meet registration for TCAF, so aim for getting the art to me by then! If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me at trevorhenderson86@gmail.com, and i’ll fill you in as best i can! If you know an illustrator who would dig this idea, PLEASE pass my e-mail address on to them. Thanks so much, I feel that this is a topic that’s really open to interpretation through various styles and formats, and i look forward to hearing from some talented people!
If you’re interested, e-mail me so i can add you to the list!
Thanks so much!

WANT THEM!

WANT THEM!

I think that history is a kind of message from the ineffable — that in the rise of dynastic families and the fall of empires and the migrations of peoples there is a vast tale being told; that we are caged within art, and that the great satisfaction of contemplating this spectacle is to know where in the tale you are… .
